What AyurNote is

AyurNote is software that Ayurvedic practitioners use to run their practice: scheduling, intake forms, session notes, protocols, check-ins, messaging, and payments. Practitioners use it to work with their clients, and clients use it to book, communicate, and keep up with their care. By creating an account or booking an appointment through AyurNote, you agree to these terms.

AyurNote is not your practitioner

AyurNote does not provide health care, medical advice, or Ayurvedic advice. All care, recommendations, and protocols come from your practitioner, who is responsible for them. We do not supervise the care any practitioner provides. Nothing in AyurNote is a substitute for a licensed physician, and AyurNote is not for emergencies — if you need urgent help, call your local emergency number.

Your account

You must be 18 or older to create an AyurNote account. A practitioner may keep records for a client under 18 whose parent or guardian arranged their care and holds the account. Keep your password private and let us know if you think someone else has used your account. You are responsible for what happens under your login. Give us accurate information and keep it current — your practitioner relies on it.

For practitioners

If you use AyurNote as a practitioner, you are responsible for holding whatever credentials, licenses, and insurance your jurisdiction requires, for the accuracy of the records you keep, and for your own relationship with your clients, including your cancellation policy and any waivers you ask them to sign. You are the custodian of your clients' records; AyurNote stores them on your behalf. AyurNote is not currently available to practitioners who bill health insurance electronically or are otherwise covered by HIPAA.

Payments

Payments are processed by Stripe and settle to your practitioner's own Stripe account. Prices, deposits, and cancellation fees are set by your practitioner — ask them about their pricing and cancellation policy. Refund questions go to your practitioner first; they can issue refunds from within AyurNote.

Your information

How we collect, store, and share your information is described in our Privacy Policy, which is part of these terms. When you sign a waiver electronically, we record the time and the IP address it was signed from so the signature holds up.

Third-party services

Video sessions run on Zoom, and calendar sync connects to Google Calendar, Outlook, or Apple Calendar when a practitioner chooses to set it up. Those services have their own terms, and we don't control them. If you connect one, you are agreeing to its terms as well.

Acceptable use

Don't use AyurNote to access records that aren't yours, to harass anyone, to send spam, to upload anything unlawful, or to probe or disrupt the service. We may suspend or close an account that does.

Availability and changes

We work to keep AyurNote available and reliable, but we don't promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change or add features, and we may discontinue the service with reasonable notice. Practitioners can export their clients' protocols before an account is closed.

Disclaimer and limitation of liability

AyurNote is provided "as is." To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any outcome of care provided by a practitioner. Our total liability to you for any claim related to AyurNote is limited to the amount you paid us, if any, in the twelve months before the claim.

Ending your account

You can stop using AyurNote at any time. Clients who want their record removed should ask their practitioner. We may close accounts that violate these terms. Sections that by their nature should survive — payments already made, the disclaimer, and the limitation of liability — survive closure.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms in a way that matters, we'll update the date at the top of this page and let account holders know by email. Continuing to use AyurNote after that means you accept the new terms.
